Drama is offered as a 6th or 7th grade elective class and is an introduction to theater. In the semester-long class, students will acquire lifelong theater skills (listening, interpreting, theater manners), develop a confidence in speaking to audiences, prepare and present a proficient performance, understand theater in all media formats, compare and contrast live theater, film, and television, and learn to enjoy and appreciate theatrical performances.
In addition to being offered as an elective for 6th and 7th graders as part of the elective rotation, Drama is also offered as an after school club to all grade levels with performances planned throughout the year. Please contact Colin Campbell or Dominique Betancourt for more information.
